There are a number of development tools and products available to ease the effort of developing a product incorporating the SERCOS interface. These include hardware boards and a software module that perform various SERCOS control functions, software drivers, I/O module interfaces, a SERCOS monitor, and conformance testing software. A general description of these types of products appears below. These products are offered by various SERCOS member companies and SERCOS International and product descriptions are provided alphabetically by company. NOTE: All products listed by a member company are available only from that company and its distributors. Members' products are not stocked or sold by the SERCOS organizations. SERCOS interface hardware modules -- Automatically initiate the SERCOS ring, and manage the data traffic on the ring, reducing control requirements to a minimum. Available from Automata, Bosch Rexroth and Hilscher. SERCOS interface software drivers -- Available from Automata, Bosch Rexroth, Hilscher and ISG. SoftSERCANS -- A software interface master function to SERCOS interface-based drives, which runs on Ardence' RTX real-time Windows software. SoftSERCANS is a SERCOS interface driver to PC-based soft motion control, just as printer drivers are for a PC. Available from Bosch Rexroth and SERCOS International. SERCOS Monitor -- The SERCOS Monitor is a powerful analyzer for observation and evaluation of data transmission in SERCOS I and II fiber optic systems. Available from Hilscher.
