Member Directory
SERCOS N.A. has a board of directors consisting of three individuals. The members of the board are the current officers of the organization -- President, Secretary and Treasurer. Individuals are elected yearly from the membership of SERCOS N.A.

Dr. Kenneth RyanPresident -- Dr. Kenneth Ryan, director of Manufacturing Automation Research and Education at The Center for Automation and Motion Control (CAMC) at Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Dr. Ryan is the founder and director of the Manufacturing Automation Research Laboratory and has directed the Automation Systems Integration program at the center during its 7 years of existence. He teaches electricity, electronics, programmable logic control, industrial automation, industrial networking and motion control programming, stressing digital interface standards such as SERCOS.

Dr. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science, Chemistry & Biology from Loras College, 1980; a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Iowa, 1985; is board certified in Adult & Pediatric Urologic Surgery, 1990; and is certified as a Fluid Power Technician, a Fluid Power Accredited Instructor and a Profibus Engineer.

He is currently the chairman of PackLearn, the education team of the OMAC Packaging Working Group. PackLearn is charged with promotion and education of open modular architectural guidelines and their application to advanced packaging automation.


Scott HibbardTreasurer -- Scott Hibbard, Vice President of Technology, Bosch Rexroth Electronic Drives & Controls (formerly Indramat), Hoffman Estates, IL.

Scott Hibbard joined Indramat in 1980, playing a key role in Indramat’s pioneering introduction of the first practical industrial brushless AC servo drives. A VP of Technology for Bosch Rexroth's Electronic Drives & Controls division, Scott is responsible for industry management, product management, and engineering for the division’s target markets.

Mr. Hibbard was graduated from DeVry Technical Institute in 1977, and has been associated with the industrial motion control industry since that time. He is the author of numerous technical articles and papers on AC servo, digital drive control, and open control system technology.


Robert HirschingerSecretary -- Robert Hirschinger, Motion Product Manager, Rockwell Automation.

Bob Hirschinger is a product manager for Rockwell Automation, with responsibility for Logix motion controller/software products. Bob has over 23 years experience in the motion industry in a variety of roles including application development and support, motion controller R&D, and product marketing.



Management

SERCOS NA management carries out the transactions of the organization as stipulated in the bylaws, the resolutions passed and according to the instructions of the Board.
