High Performance Servo Motors and Drives from Danaher Motion -- G&L Motion Control, Inc.
Two new lines of Centurion™ servo system products have been introduced by
Danaher Motion -- G&L Motion Control, Inc. Centurion XSM Series servo motors offer exceptional torque-to-size and torque-to-price advantages, while Centurion DSA servo drives add advanced feedback and indexing support to existing motion control capability.
XSM Servo Motors Designed for Fast Indexing
Featuring high speed and fast acceleration, low and medium rotor inertia XSM servo motors are ideal for extremely demanding indexing applications, such as wrapping, cartoning, press feed and many others. The XSM line includes a complete selection of models, providing continuous torque capability from 4 - 900 in.-lb. (0.5 - 100 Nm) and frame choices to accommodate a wide range of application configurations where high performance and compact size are critical. XSM motors also provide high resolution, absolute and incremental feedback options.
Servo Amplifiers with Built-In Motion Control
The DSA Series offers new advanced features to the line of Centurion positioning drives. In positioning/index mode, DSA drives handle up to 64 predetermined index moves, provide jog index capability, allow index sequences, and permit stop/pause indexing and homing. Other DSA features include:
Optional SERCOS interface.
High-resolution feedback, and with XSM servo motors, absolute feedback and automatic smart encoder set-up.
44 and 15 pin HD-Sub connectors.
Improved EMI performance, better noise immunity.
Better current control for more peak torque at high speeds.
Linear motor support.
Reduced current tracking error.
Built-in motor phasing algorithms for diagnosis of motor wiring problems.

"Our new Centurion XSA servo motors offer a new level of performance in a compact size," states Joseph B. Martin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at
Danaher Motion -- G&L Motion Control, Inc. "The low inertia and high torque-to-size make them an ideal solution for packaging and labeling applications." Martin adds, "The new DSA positioning drives, with 64 index moves, will provide a complete, easy-to-apply, self-contained motion control solution for single axis applications."
