ECODRIVE Cs Series From Bosch Rexroth Provides Compact Solution for Low Power Range
New compact controllers and motors extend the ECODRIVE functionality down to 100W.
The compact ECODRIVE Cs series from Bosch Rexroth's Electric Drives and Controls division is a new generation of system-compatible AC servo drives in the 100- to 750-Watt power range, with 230VAC single or three phase power input. Among the most compact servo drives available, most units are just 55mm wide, 182mm high, and 170mm deep (2.17" x 7.17" x 6.69").
The ECODRIVE Cs product range also includes four new motor sizes that feature the same compact dimensions. The motors include options for a built-in holding brake, keyed output shaft, and absolute feedback that eliminates referencing.
The ECODRIVE Cs is versatile, with several open bus interfaces available. Interfaces for DeviceNet™ and PROFIBUS-DP™ leverage the intelligent axis capabilities of the ECODRIVE Cs. When fitted with the SERCOS interface™, these drive controllers are ideally suited for use in systems with interconnected multi-axis arrangements. The SERCOS interface also allows seamless operation with SYNAX, VISUALMOTION and MTC200 control systems marketed under the Indramat name prior to 2001, as well as all other controllers that conform to this interface.
The Ecodrive Cs firmware embodies the same proven, process-oriented technologies including Shaftless-Driven™ electronic gearing, cam tables, and fast probe analysis, that are available on other Bosch Rexroth intelligent digital drives. These features make the
ECODRIVE Cs the appropriate choice for printing and paper converting applications, packaging machine construction, robotics and handling systems, woodworking and small machine tool applications.
