IndraDrive M Digital Drive System Provides an Unparalleled Level of Scalable Performance
The new Rexroth IndraDrive M digital drive system provides greater precision, higher productivity and better performance than previous drive-system models.
The IndraDrive M incorporates Rexroth servo-drive and frequency-converter technology into one platform. With an optional drive-integrated, IEC61131-3-compliant PLC onboard, plus built-in safety technology and motion function-block programming, the IndraDrive M eliminates the need for a traditional PLC on small machines.
The integrated PLC also provides programming and parameterization through a single interface. The IndraDrive M supports all standard communication protocols, including
SERCOS interface, PROFIBUS, CANopen, DeviceNet and INTERBUS, as well as analog and parallel interfaces. In addition, the drive units can be equipped with additional encoder interfaces, industry-specific technology functions and cross-synchronization options.
The IndraDrive M's modular platform offers cost-effective scalability in terms of power. The drive units, available as servo or vector, cover the entire output spectrum -- from 1.5 to 120 kW. The power supply units are available as either regenerative or non-regenerative units.
Both open- and closed-loop servo versions are available on the same platform. This makes it easy to use only one unique drive package with the same interfaces, power section and start-up tool for food and packaging machines with different requirements.
The IndraDrive M fulfills the industry's demand to implement time-critical and safety-relevant functionality into the drive. The IndraDrive M is available with integrated safety technology that complies with EN 954-1, Category 3 -- a crucial new safety standard for European machines. This means the IndraDrive M requires no additional hardware or indirect control solutions.
